Alhaji Mohammed Muniru, the Upper East Regional Minister, on Tuesday pledged his commitment to continue the good works of his predecessor towards maintaining peace and improving the welfare of the people in the region.
Alhaji Muniru said one of his cardinal plans for the region was to meticulously work towards the maintenance of peace and to push the Better Ghana Agenda forward.
The Minister said this when he interacted with journalists in the region after a tumultuous welcome by party members and people of the region to usher him into office.
He congratulated the media for the role they played in bringing peace to parts of the Region that experienced conflict and said he would work towards bringing peace to the region.
Alhaji Muniru appealed for support to promote development to the area and called for restraint as government works to spread development throughout the country.
