New Upper West Regional Minister call for support

Wa, Aug 3, GNA - Alhaji Issahaku Saliah, the New Upper West Regional Minister, has appealed to all departmental heads in the region to support him to enable him to push the region's development agenda forward.

"I will greatly depend on your individual support as I strive to implement government's developmental policies for the region for the betterment of our people", he said.

Alhaji Saliah said this during his maiden meeting with Heads of Departments in the region.

Alhaji Saliah took over from Mr. Mahmud Khalid who was relieved of his post as the regional Minister a few months ago.

The Minister called on the Departmental Heads to work hard to create a peaceful atmosphere that would ensure a holistic development of the region.

"We must work to meet targets and allow free flow of information to make our work easier and enhance transparency and accountability," he said.

Mr. Moses Bukari Magbenba, the Northern Regional Minister who acted in the absence of a substantive regional minister, appealed to the Departmental Heads to accord the Alhaji Saliah the same respect and cooperation that they offered him during his tenure.
