Nhyiaeso NPP Constituency organises football gala competition

Kumasi Nov. 16 GNA - The Nhyiaeso Constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the weekend organised a football gala competition at the Police Training Depot Park, Patase for the youth of the area.

Teams from all the five electoral areas made up of Kwadaso Estates, Patase, South Suntreso, Santasi and Ridge-Nhyiaeso participated in the football gala.

Santasi Electoral Area emerged champions after beating Ridge-Nhyiaeso 3-2 in the finals.

They received two million cedis, three footballs, a set of jersey and a beautiful trophy as their award for emerging champions of the gala.

The other participating teams also received One million cedis each, footballs, sets of jerseys and trophies.

Dr Richard Anane, Minister of Roads and Transport and the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the area, who presented the teams with their awards said the party expects good conduct from its supporters and sympathisers to help sustain the peace in the run up to the December Polls.

He counselled the participants not to allow any amount of provocation, insults and insinuations by their political opponents to incite them into violence or retaliation.

Dr Anane said that the government of the NPP had performed creditably and that the evidence was clear for all to see. He therefore asked the people to turn out in their numbers to vote massively to return the party to power
