Nkaseem (B/A), Dec 28, GNA- As part of activities to mark the 175th anniversary of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana nationwide, the Goaso Zonal chapter of the Church has ended a three-day religious session at Nkaseim near Goaso in Brong Ahafo.
Counseling and special prayers including prayers for the government and people of Ghana and for peace in the world, featured prominently during the session.
Preaching the sermon to climax the activities, the Goaso District Minister of the Church, Rev Michael Atta-Darkwah urged the congregation to reflect the achievements of the pioneers of the church who had worked tirelessly to lay the foundation 175 years ago.
He said the present generation must, therefore, resolve to contribute their quota to enable the Church to grow in leaps and in bounds.
The nationwide theme for the anniversary is: "come let us walk in the light of the Lord". Rev Atta-Darkwah explained that the proverbial light of the Lord is their attitude towards fellow human beings. Rev Atta-Darkwah called for religious tolerance among Ghanaians especially the youth whom he advised to distant themselves from contracting the HIV/AIDS.
