Nkoranza (B/A), March 2, GNA - Nkoranza District branch of the Federation Youth Association of Ghana has commended President John Agyekum Kufuor for nominating the Omanhene of Nkoranza, Okatakyie Agyeman Kudom 1V, as a member of the Council of State. The branch Association also expressed gratitude to the Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs for electing the Omanhene as its President.

Mr Kofi Adu, Secretary of the branch Association said at a press conference at Nkoranza that, the two positions conferred on the Omanhene constituted a great honour to Nkoransaman and asked the people to pray to God to guide him in the discharge of his duties. He called on the youth to support the Omanhene and other Chiefs and community leaders for the speedy development of the communities. He asked the people to bury their political differences and forge ahead in unity to initiate plans and programmes to help every citizen to improve his or her standard of living.

The youth leader called on the two parliamentarians, Mr Kwame Amporfo-Twumasi, who is Deputy Minister designate for Education and Sports and Mr Eric Amoateng to share ideas and arrange programmes that would promote the development of Nkoranza. Meanwhile, the youth of Nkoranza have congratulated Mr Amporfo-Twumasi on his appointment as the Deputy Minister designate and wished him success.
