Mankrong-Junction (C/R), Dec 30, GNA - The Mankrong-Junction Youth Association and the Mays Educational Centre, a private educational institution are to establish a 500 million-cedi Nursery Training College at Mankrong-Junction.
Mr Abraham Inkum, Chairman of the Association, who announced this at a fund raising harvest said the Ghana Education Service had given the go-ahead for the opening of the College next year.
He said a large tract of land had been acquired for 20 million cedis for the project to take off early next year, adding that, apart from training more nursery teachers, a model nursery would opened next month as part of the project.
The Chairman said the Association had established a cement block-making factory and a communication centre to raise funds for development provided dustbins worth five million cedis at vantage points to help maintain sanitation to avert an epidemic. Mr Inkum called for cooperation among the youth to promote development.
Alhaji Ibrahim Jabire, Assemblyman for the area, asked the youth to refrain from premarital sex to avoid teenage pregnancies and HIV/AIDS.
He called on the people to bury their political differences and to rekindle their communal spirit and commended the youth for their dedication.
