Bonyere (W/R), October 28, GNA - The chiefs and elders of the Western Nzema Traditional Council have pledged their full support for the establishment of a gas plant in the area for the development of Ghana's emerging oil industry.
This follows a meeting with the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), the Ministry of Energy, the Jomoro district Assembly and the traditional council at Bonyere in the Western Region. Awulae Annor Adjei, Omanhen of the Council, expressed disappointment over a demonstration by the people following the destruction of their farms by the GNPC.
