Odorkor-Sakaman to get massive face-lift

Mr Joseph Kwei Mensah, an aspiring assembly member for Sakaman Electoral Area, has promised massive face-lift for the community if gets the nod in the election slated for March 3.

According to him, Sakaman has for a long time been denied its fair share of developmental projects, sighting inadequate drainage system and bad roads.

The poor drainage system, he noted, causes perennial flooding, which is a source of worry to residents.

He promised to liaise with Accra Metropolitan Assembly to ensure the completion of the stalled drainage project.

Touching on his developmental agenda for the area, he said he intends to demarcate the Sakaman electoral area into four zones to facilitate development.

Having stayed in Sakaman for close to 40 years, Mr Mensah noted that the under developed nature of the area does not befit its status as a residential area, adding: “Sakaman cannot boast of a single government basic school despite its status.”

Mr Mensah, is an astute traditional practitioner, who works with the Etherean Mission, a faith based organisation.

He also doubles as a member of the Ablekuma sub- metro where he has been for the past 10 years.

Campaigning on the theme: “The man for real development,” he said he intends to involve stakeholders in the community to ensure effective implementation of his vision.

The assembly man hopeful, said he believes in pragmatism, and is ready to serve his community.

Mr Mensah, who is married with four children, said although he is very confident of victory, the electorate should come out and vote massively for him to ensure a resounding win and an effective implementation of his development agenda.
