Offinso Achiase Tragedy: Three family members dead after domestic altercation

A 21-year-old man with a reported history of mental health challenges allegedly attacked his mother and later engaged in a violent confrontation with his brother in the Offinso Achiase community on Monday, February 16, 2026.

The incident resulted in the deaths of all three family members.

According to eyewitness accounts and a report by DJ High Tension on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM’s Nyankonton Mu Nsem, the tragedy began when the mother confronted her son over his alleged persistent drug abuse.

The confrontation reportedly angered the young man, who then turned violent and attacked her.

Upon learning of the altercation, his brother, identified as Kofi, rushed home from town to intervene.

A physical struggle ensued between the two brothers. The confrontation escalated and both men later succumbed to injuries sustained during the fight.

Local police have been notified and have launched a formal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
