Ofoase orphanage receives help

Akim Ofoase (E/R), Feb 21, GNA - The children, teaching and non-teaching staff of the Ofoase Justice Orphanage in the Akyemmansa District have received soft drinks, food and used clothing from the Emmoa Mere Nie, a non-governmental organization (NGO). The NGO also donated shoes and bags to the widows and disabled persons in the town. It further organized 93get-together" evening entertainment for the over 250 children of the orphanage. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Akim Oda, Mrs Augustina Padi, Executive Director of the NGO, said apart from the NGO sharing experiences with the orphanage, it also supported clinics, schools, physically challenged and villages. Mr Justice Ohene, Founder of the Home, said it was important to give a helping hand to needy children and ensure that they were brought up in a socially acceptable manner.
