Okatakyi Krampah laid to rest

Gomoa Ajumako (C/R), Feb 1, GNA - Okatakyi Nyanful Krampah, Omanhene of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area, whose sudden death occurred on the 14th February 2008, was buried at Ajumako at the weekend. The chief, who was known in private life as Mr Paul Kow Ocran, was born on 14th July 1944.

The late Okatakyi Krampah, attended Roman Catholic Primary School and Roman Catholic Middle School at Agona Swedru, was enlisted into the Ghana Army in 1967 and retired in 1995.

Okatakyi Krampah worked with the Cadbury Ghana Limited and the Ashanti Goldfields at Obuasi before he was installed Omanhene in 1998. The late chief was very instrumental in the splitting of Gomoa District into two administrative areas: Gomoa East and Gomoa West and a peace maker, who resolved many disputes in the area. He left behind a wife, Mrs Comfort Ocran and nine children.
