Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, Okyehene, and paramount chief of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area, has released a vast land belonging to the Okyeman stool, to the City Waste Management Company Limited, to undertake development projects to help solve the unemployment problem in the area.

Osagyefo Amoatia, who disclosed this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency during a visit to Teacher Mante, said the company dealing in metal scraps and second-hand fridges, will construct shops, offices, workers’ quarters and bungalows.

He said the project would enable the company to employ school drop-outs in the area, and also create job opportunities for the youth to prevent them from migrating to the cities in search of white collar jobs.

Osagyefo Amoatia advised estate developers and organizations to channel all their land documents through Nana Mbeah, Mponuahene of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area, to ensure the proper documentation of those land documents in order to avoid any land litigations.

Osagyefo Amoatia disclosed that the stretch of land from Adoagyinri to Kyebi-Apapam is for educational infrastructure and other developmental projects to improve the standard of education in the traditional area.

He, therefore, appealed to individuals and companies who have already acquired parts of the Okyeman stool lands to immediately contact Nana Mbeah for proper documentation on those lands.
