Old student of ASTECH wins principal’s award to deserving staff

A former Ada Senior High Technical School (ASTECH) student, Mr. Philip Doe Akuteye, received the Principal's Award for his exceptional dedication and hard work as a non-academic staff member at Mount Mary College of Education's 15th congregation ceremony.

The ceremony, dubbed "Making a Lasting Impact as a 21st Century Educator through Partnership and Networking," aimed to welcome the college's graduates into the teaching profession and recognize staff members who had shown dedication during the academic year.

Dr. Mrs. Cecilia Esinam E. Agbah, the principal of the college award honors the recognition of the commitment of duty, sacrifice, and invaluable contributions to the progress of Mount Mary College of Education.

Mr. Philip Doe Akuteye was honored among two other staff members, Mr. Emmanuel Essiaw and Ms. Phylis Josephine Danso in the same category during a formal gathering attended by government officials, the college staff, students, graduates, parents, and religious leaders.

The college staff, Mr. Philip Doe Akuteye, has seven years of work in the financial department at Mount Mary College of Education in the Somanya Eastern Region. Being rewarded with such a prestigious prize demonstrates his unwavering dedication to his duties.

His performance in the non-academic responsibility earned him the award in the category demonstrating his capacity to accomplish tasks under pressure and report to authorities as needed.

Mr. Philip Doe Akuteye earned a Bachelor in Commerce from the University of Cape Coast (UCC) specializing in accounting with a thorough understanding of finance issues and is equipped with the skill of projecting solutions to financial challenges in his work domain.

As a member of the Ada Senior High Technical School Old Students Association (ASTOSA), with finance prowess, he has been recommended by the association's national executives to serve on the financial committee as financial advisor for the association.

Other staff members who received the Principal’s Award at the ceremony are Mr. Osmanu Ibrahim, Mr. Charles Redeemer Semodey, and Mr. Alex Boateng in the academic staff category.
