Accra, June 8, GNA - Police said on Wednesday that they were investigating an attack on the palace of the chief of Pokuase on Monday which resulted in the death of one person. Police sources told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Accra on Wednesday that one person was killed when a group of men invaded the palace of the Chief Nii Otto Kwame and attacked three persons, including a woman.
Accra, June 8, GNA - Police said on Wednesday that they were investigating an attack on the palace of the chief of Pokuase on Monday which resulted in the death of one person. Police sources told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Accra on Wednesday that one person was killed when a group of men invaded the palace of the Chief Nii Otto Kwame and attacked three persons, including a woman. The source said one of the victims of the attack, 14 year old Emmanuel Addokwei, whose hand was severed, died later from his wounds. Police said the two others were responding to treatment. The Police said some arrests had been made while frantic efforts were being made to get others believed to be involved in the attack. Nii Otoo Kwame told the GNA that the attack occurred while he was out of the village. A few weeks ago, the Asafoatse of Pokuase was allegedly kidnapped by unknown persons but was freed the following day.
