The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament is scheduled to hold public sittings on listed Reports of the Auditor General from Tuesday, July 8 to Friday, July 11 at 1400 hours.
A statement from the Parliamentary Service on Wednesday and signed by Kate Addo, Deputy Director of Public Affairs, invited all media houses to cover the event.
The statement explained that the invitation is based on “the importance and interest shown by the general public in the activities of the Public Accounts Committee”.
The PAC consists of not more than 25 Members and is chaired by a Member who does not belong to the party which controls the Executive branch of Government.
The duty of the Committee is to examine the audited accounts showing the appropriation of the sums granted by Parliament to meet the public expenditure of the government as presented to the House by the Auditor-General of Ghana.
