PM, Assembly give account of their stewardship

Madam Hannah Tetteh, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Member of Parliament for Awutu-Senya East, has led the chiefs from Awutu and Senya traditional areas, Management and Staff of the Assembly, and NDC executives, to inspect projects executed within two years in the area.

At Senya Bereku, the team inspected projects which included the construction of a female, male and children hospital wards, a new market with KG, a three-classroom unit block, staff room and I.C.T centre, the construction of a girls' dormitory, and a dining hall for the Senior High School.

They also visited basic school students on free vacation classes sponsored by the Minister, and inspected a 12-seater water closet toilet facility at Bonsoku.

Neenyi Kwa Bentum the fourth, Tufuhen of the Senya Traditional Area, commended the government, the MP and the District Assembly for giving them their fair share of the national cake, and appealed to his people to rally firmly behind the government.

At Awutu Bereku the MP donated furniture to the management of Winton SHS, inspected a Rural Technology Facility, a technical Institute, the construction of a six-unit classroom block for the DA JHS, with teachers offices and I.C.T centre, a donation by the Chinese Embassy.

Other projects sites visited were Water Closet Toilet Facility, Court Building, Ghana Education Service Office facility, the District Assembly Block, and the Area Council Office.

The Minister also cut a tape for the beginning of work by personnel of the district NHIS which is at a temporal rented building.

Mr. Sampson Amarh, the DCE, briefing the gathering on the essences of the inspection, said it was aimed to give account of their stewardship, and to enable the people be abreast with developmental projects and programmes the Government, MP and the Assembly were executing to help better the lot of the citizenry.

They also inspected work of the construction of a Police Station at Bontrase, and Mankomeda, CHIP compounds at Afasu, Afada, Ayesuaco, Ayeresu.

The team later moved to Awutu Bawjiase where Madam Tetteh unveiled a plaque for the construction of a modern Market and Lorry Park, site for the Community SHS, Sawing Centre at Bebianiha.

The team ended the inspection at Obrachire SHS where they inspected the girls dormitory which was renovated by the MP, and work on a two-storey girls' dormitory, a GET-Fund project.

Madam Hannah Tetteh giving her impression on the inspection, said the projects would help improve the living standards of the people.

Abokuadi Wyettey Agyemang Larbi, Omanhene of the Awutu Traditional Area, expressed his deepest appreciation to the government, the MP for the area, and the District Assembly, for the numerous development projects executed in both the Awutu and Senya Bereku Traditional Areas.
