The Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH) and the Lady Pharmacists Association of Ghana (LAPAG) fully support the renewal of Pharm. Prof. (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson's appointment as the Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

The leadership of PSGH and LAPAG applauds the University Council for their decision to renew Pharm. Prof. (Mrs.) Dickson's appointment on June 24, 2024. The University Council undoubtedly took into account her performance over the past four (4) years in reaching this decision.

Under Pharm. Prof. Mrs. Dickson's leadership, KNUST has experienced significant infrastructure development and the implementation of sound academic policies that have enhanced the University's global reputation.

Notably, KNUST was ranked as the best University in the world for providing quality education (SDG 4) by the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings in 2023. She has shown exceptional competence in managing this prestigious University and, therefore, merits an extension of her tenure.

PSGH and LAPAG are immensely proud of Pharm. Prof. Mrs. Dickson's accomplishments and pledge our unwavering support for her over the next two years. We urge all stakeholders to endorse the University Council's decision to renew her appointment.
