Mr Francis Opoku, Chairman of the Parent Teacher Association told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the project was being financed with funds raised during the school's open days.

He said the old block was in a deplorable state and commended the Very Reverend John Quayson, Superintendent Minister in-charge of the Methodist Church for mobilizing members of the Church to provide support towards the project.

He expressed gratitude to parents for their various contributions for the successful completion of the project. Mr Thomas Tome Kuugau, Headmaster, commended the parents for their foresight and voluntary spirit.

He appealed to them to maintain such spirit and to provide the basic educational needs of their children. Mr Kuugau urged the teachers to consider the hard work and efforts of the parents and redouble their efforts to raise the academic performance of the students.

He urged parents to monitor the movements of their children so they could steer them away from unhealthy practices. Mr Kuugau urged the Nkoranza District Assembly to provide assistance in the form of building materials to supplement their efforts.
