Half-Assini (W/R) July 15 GNA - Mr Matthew Enova Assmebly Member for Adusuazo, in the Western Region, has called on Parents to adopt family planning as an effective measure of improving upon the quality of life of their families.
He urged parents to give birth to the number of children they can carter for and said the time when having large families was regarded as a prestige was over.
Mr Enova was addressing a meeting of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of the Christian Academy Preparatory School at Half-Assini. He encouraged parents to provide the needs of their children, especially the girl-child to discourage them from becoming wayward. Mr John Egya Ebote, Director of the School, commended members of the PTA for their supporting measures aimed at ensuring quality education for the pupils.
