Passion for Needy settles patients' bills at ridge hospital

Accra, Sept.18, GNA - Passion for Needy (PN), an NGO, on Thursday spent 710.00 Ghana Cedis to liberate three patients detained at the Ridge Hospital. for the non-payment of medical bills Mr. Jonathan Armah, 30, who was involved in a lorry accident was discharged a week ago but failed to pay his 450.00 Ghana Cedi medical bill.

Mad Pricilla Kyewaa brought her one year old son to the hospital and was detained two weeks ago pending the payment of 98 Ghana Cedis bill for her son, and Madam Janet Mensah whose son was treated of malaria could not pay the 94.50 Ghana Cedis bill. The three were given an additional 20.00 Ghana Cedis each to be used for transport home.

Mad. Kyewaa on behalf of the beneficiaries thanked the Passion for Needy for their kind gesture and asked them to extend their generosity to others who may also need similar assistance. In a related development, Passion for Needy also paid 130.00 Ghana Cedis covering the medical bill f a child whose mother absconded, and whose father had also took permission to go and look for money and had not returned.

Passion for Needy was formed in August 2009, with the aim of assisting people in need especially widows, the physically challenged, and poor but bright children. It has since its inception spent about 2000.00 Ghana Cedis on medical bills of patients.
