Asuano(B/A),Oct.27, GNA - The people of Asuano in Nkoranza District have appealed to the Government for assistance to complete their electrification project to improve their living standards. They have purchased 60 concrete low-tension poles for the project to connect them to the National Grid.

Oheneba Asumang-Brempong, Assemblyman for the area made the appeal at a durbar for the Mr James Kwabena Appiah-Awuah, Nkoranza District Chief Executive.

He regretted that other communities in the area had been connected to the grid.

Mr. Asumang-Brempong commended the Government for providing the community with a six-classroom block and appealed to the Assembly to offer credit facilities to farmers in the area to boost agricultural production.

He complained about a brick-and-tile factory established in the area that had become a 'white elephant' and called on the assembly to encourage the youth to patronize the project to make it viable. Mr. Appiah-Awuah, commended the people for their voluntary spirit towards development programmes and assured them of the assembly's assistance to complete the electrification project. He urged the youth to maintain love, unity and peace among themselves to help initiate development projects.
