Ejisu (Ash), Sept 20, GNA- About 500 residents of Ejisu led by Mr Yaw Ahenkora Afrifa, the Ejisu-Juaben District Chief Executive, on Friday undertook a massive clean-up exercise in the town.
Identifiable groups and organisations which took part included assembly members, town councillors, unit committees, NPP women's and youth groups, bakers, artisans, mechanics, pastors and church groups. They desilted choked gutters, swept the market and public areas, and cleared bushy areas.
Addressing the participants after the exercise, Mr Afrifa commended them for their impressive turn out and communal spirit and urged them to keep it up.
Mr Opoku Mensah, the District Environmental Officer, advised the people to abide by environmental laws to keep the district clean.
