Cape Coast, July 28, GNA - Ms Christine Churcher, Minister of Basic, Secondary and Girl-Child Education, on Saturday cut the sod for work to begin on a 600-million-cedi community centre for the people of Nkanfoa, a suburb of Cape Coast. She donated 100 bags of cement for the project that the people of the community are funding through levies of 80,000 cedis and 60,000 cedis, a man and a woman, respectively.

She donated 100 bags of cement for the project that the people of the community are funding through levies of 80,000 cedis and 60,000 cedis, a man and a woman, respectively. They are also providing communal labour for the project. Ms Churcher, MP for Cape Coast, commended the people for their self-help spirit and reiterated the government's commitment to support communities that initiated projects. Mr Clement Osei-Tutu, Assembly Member for Ridge/Nkanfoa Electoral Area, said those who failed to attend communal labour would be penalised.
