Police in Ho arrest three suspected armed robbers

Ho, Oct. 27, GNA - Police in Ho have arrested three out of six suspected armed robbers who allegedly attacked a student and took away his mobile phone and money.

The suspects are Robert Feh, Daniel Mortey and Selorm Aguadze, all unemployed and residing at Ahoe, a suburb of Ho. Briefing the Ghana News Agency GNA) on Wednesday morning Deputy Commissioner of Police David Nenyi Ampah-Bennin, the Volta Regional Police Commander, said the incident happened on Monday night.

He said the robbers wielding machetes and pairs of scissors attacked a Bright Abotsi, 28, in one of the classrooms of the Asogli Technical Institute and took his mobile phone and Ghc 30.00. Mr Ampah-Bennin said the robbers inflicted deep cuts on the victim's left arm and head.

He said Mr Abotsi together with a friend made a report at the Municipal Police Station leading to the arrest of the three on Tuesday morning.

He said the three were in police custody being processed for court.

Mr Ampah-Bennin said police were seeking the other three suspects and appealed to the public to furnish the police with information on criminals in the community for prompt action.
