Police in Techiman in Brong-Ahafo Region have begun investigations into an alleged attack on a 31-year-old man, who was hired to assassinate a businessman in Techiman  failed to execute the contract.
One Alhaji Fawa Nuhu, a businessman in the Techiman Municipality allegedly hired Mohammed Shafiew, unemployed to kill Mr Kwadwo Adjei, a motorbike dealer.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mahmud Ussif Alhassan, confirmed the story and said Alhaji Nuhu agreed to offer Shafi GHC15,000 for the deal.
Alhaji Nuhu threatened to kill Shafi when he failed to execute the deal, the police commander told Journalists in Techiman and added on February 10, this year Alhaji Nunu together with one Abu Ayittey and another young man who is on the run brutally attacked him in Techiman.
DSP Alhassan said the matter was reported to the police and the attackers were arrested and granted police enquiry bail.
