Sunyani (B/A), Dec 6, GNA - Professor David Yeboah Amankwaah, a Senior Lecturer at the Catholic University of Ghana at Fiapre near Sunyani in the Brong-Ahafo Region, has stressed the need to prepare the youth to understand and articulate the vision of the country since they are the greatest resource of the nation.

The youth as the future leaders should be disciplined to help in nation building.

These were contained in a paper read on his behalf at the inauguration of Anglican Old Boys and Girls Association at Sunyani at the weekend.

The ceremony was on the theme "Youth and Education, Development of our Nation".

Prof. Amankwaah noted that energy and strength of the youth could be moulded into a powerful instrument of change under an effective education programme.

He stressed the need for the youth to strive for excellence to render dedicated services to the nation.

Prof. Amankwaah advised parents to invest in their children to benefit from the quality education that the government had put in place. The Reverend Father Papa Sekyi Andorful, Chairman of the Association, explained that the group, which was formed three year ago, was aimed at ensuring good and quality education in Anglican schools throughout the country.

He said the Association was for both men and women who had passed through Anglican schools and appealed for support to its aims.
