The professional organization and planning service on Friday the 28th of November, 2014 donated school items worth GHS2,400 to the Street children Empowerment Foundation (SCEF).
The Items donated included 68 hardcover books, 16 activity books, 15 audio CD's, 5 finger puppets, 4 parent's guides, 3 magic pads and magic numbers kit.
The professional organization and planning services was led by Mr. Eric Adane - The managing director and Mrs. Mary Adane - The Administrative Manageress and Nii Teiko Tagoe - The director of Ga Mashie Development Agency (GAMADA).
According to Mr. Eric Adane, children are the future and he is extremely happy to partner SCEF to help these children achieve their aspirations and potentials in life.
SCEF is a registered NGO in Ghana (CG-123552014) who provides educational opportunities for street children. They have a Learning Hub facility in James Town where kids go to read books in the library, use the ICT lab and get one-on-one teaching.
They currently support 244 street children to access basic school. They provide for these children necessary school requirements like school fees and levies the government does not provide, school supplies (school bags, school uniforms, exercise books, note books, text books), and basic health care with insurance registration.
The donations were received by Mr. Paul Semeh - the founder and executive director of the Street Children Empowerment Foundation and Frances Elaine Brown – project coordinator (Social work/Implementation).
