Kade (E/R), May 18, GNA - The German Technical Co-operation Agency (GTZ) in collaboration with the Social Investment Fund (SIF), is in the process of supporting some districts both financially and technically, for a mapping and "pro-poor programming" exercise.
Mr Yaw Yiadom-Boakye, Kwaebibirem District Chief Executive, said the district would benefit from the programme.
He told the assembly that the exercise would enable the district assembly and the communities to have in-depth knowledge of poverty issues in the district.
The DCE explained that the exercise would also clearly bring out pockets of poverty in the district so that pragmatic programmes and strategies would be developed and incorporated into the district's medium-term development plan for implementation towards the fight against poverty.
Mr Yiadom-Boakye said a team of officials from the assembly had begun touring some communities to collect data relating for the exercise.
He, therefore, asked members of the assembly and members of the public to assist the team should they enter their community.
