Oblogo (GAR), Sept 13, GNA - The Founder and Head Pastor of the Jesus Blood Prophetic Ministry at Oblogo, Prophet Nana Kofi Yirenkyi, has instituted a scholarship scheme for about 100 children of members of the church and orphans in the community to enable them to grow up into useful citizens.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Oblogo in the Greater Accra Region, Prophet Yirenkyi said apart from establishing a preparatory school, he would offer free computer training for the children and provide a bus to convey the staff and pupils to and from school.

He said the bus would also be used to convey members of the Church to and from services on Sundays.

The Head Pastor said his vision was to help raise the standard of education in the area especially for orphans, street children and the vulnerable to help raise their standard of living.

He stated that extra classes would be organised free of charge for the children especially to learn music and Bible studies, adding that, Church leaders have a duty to serve as role models for the people to emulate.

Prophet Yirenkyi said Christians should abide by truth, show love to their neighbours and work hard to teach the people to make sacrifices and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

He urged members of the community to take advantage of his initiative to enrol their children and wards. The Head Pastor appealed to non-governmental organisations for assistance to enable the Church to help children in the school.
