Speaking at the ceremony, Captain George Nfodjo (Rtd), Member of Parliament (MP) for Ho Central underscored the importance of education and said the legacy any parent could bequeath his or her child was education.

He said he was using his share of the MP's Common Fund to construct a 100-unit Computer Library, which was nearing completion at Ho Bankoe Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Junior Secondary School (JSS) to help train pupils in basic schools in his constituency.

He pledged 50 bags of cement and two bundles of roofing sheets for the completion of a store and office for the school.

In an address read on his behalf, Mr. Francis Korwu, Municipal Director of Education, said the provision of the facility was timely as it would enable the teachers and pupils to teach and learn in a congenial atmosphere.

He advised parents to provide the needs of their wards adding that the capitation grand does not cover everything. Mr Korwu called on the teachers to refrain from drunkenness, absenteeism and laziness and improve upon their work output. In his welcome address, Togbe Agbelekor III, chief of the community thanked members of the Club and appealed to other benevolent societies and philanthropists to help them in their electrification project.
