Registration Runoff Bolgatanga

The Voters Registration Exercise in the Bolgatanga Municipality ended smoothly on Monday in spite a heavy rainstorm that started at about 1620 hours. A number of centres GNA visited did not show any significant difference between the figures recorded during the last day and those of previous days. Most of the centres recorded a total of more than 600 voters during the two-week exercise.

At the JSQ Registration Centre, a total of 800 people had registered as at 1730 hours on Monday, while Bukere Primary School Polling Centre "A" had recorded 729. At the Experimental Primary School "A" Centre 692 voters had been registered as at 1740 hours while Experimental Primary School "B" Centre had recorded 672 persons around the same time.

At the Abilba Number One JSS Centre, 831 people had registered as at 1540 hours and Zamstec Registration Centre B had 667 registered persons as at 1700 hours. There were four reported cases of double registration. One of the culprits, Mr Atampugre Nsoh, from Gambibgo, near Bolgatanga, is in the custody of the Bolgatanga Police. Police are looking for the other three.
