Kumasi, Jan 21, GNA- Some residents staying along the Kumasi-Barekese road have expressed concern that they were exposed to health hazards following the generation of dust as a result of rehabilitation works been undertaken on the road. They have called on the government to prevail on the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA), to ensure that the contractor working on the road executed the project such that it did not affect their health. Mr. Ernest Yaw Asamoah, a retired Civil Servant, speaking on behalf of the residents, told the Ghana News (GNA) in Kumasi, that he had discussed the issue with the Ashanti Regional Director of GHA, who gave the assurance that the contractor would water the road but that had not been done.
