The Omanhen of Breman Essiam in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District, Nana Afankwah II, has appealed to the President to retain Mr Peter Light Koomson as the District Chief Executive for the area.

Nana Afankwah described Mr Koomson’s performance during his tenure as excellent.

The chief made the appeal through the Central Regional Minister, Mr Samuel Sarpong, during the minister’s familiarisation tour of the district.

The Omanhen said during the tenure of Mr Koomson, the district had seen unprecedented development and that the chiefs and majority of the people wanted him to be retained.

He said apart from infrastructural development, the DCE also ensured that the security of the district was not compromised, saying “the district has enjoyed peace during Mr Koomson’s administration.”

“His respect for the chiefs and the entire people was excellent,” the chief stated.

The Omanhen said Mr Koomson had related very well with the chiefs and people of the three traditional areas forming the district and that no one had any complaint against him or about his administration.

In a related development, the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam Constituency executive members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have expressed their support for the DCE and called for his retention.

In a letter to the Central Regional Chairman of the NDC, the executive members expressed their willingness to work with the DCE and appealed to the President to reappoint Mr Koomson as the DCE to continue with his good works.
