Akwatia (E/R), July 25, GNA - The Parish Priest of the Akwatia St. Francis of Assisi Anglican Church, the Reverend Father Samuel Nii Moi Addo has asked the clergy to be humble, reminding them that the priesthood is a call from God to serve the people and not a profession. He said the clergy had a role in the socio-economic and political development of the society and therefore, asked them not to concentrate on the work of Church activities alone.
Akwatia (E/R), July 25, GNA - The Parish Priest of the Akwatia St. Francis of Assisi Anglican Church, the Reverend Father Samuel Nii Moi Addo has asked the clergy to be humble, reminding them that the priesthood is a call from God to serve the people and not a profession. He said the clergy had a role in the socio-economic and political development of the society and therefore, asked them not to concentrate on the work of Church activities alone. Rev. Fr. Addo, who was preaching the sermon after his induction as the new parish priest of the Church at Akwatia on Sunday, observed that pride on the part of some priests and evangelists, had exposed the priesthood to a lot of criticism and public attack. He reminded priests that privileges always went with responsibilities.
