Ring Road Central Rotary Club walks for Asempaneye school project

Akosombo (ER), 10 Oct. GNA- The Rotary Club of Accra Ring Road on Saturday organized a sponsored walk to raise funds for the construction of a three classroom block for the people of Asempaneye, a village in the Eastern Region. In an interview with the GNA, Madam Galina Okartei-Akko, President of the club, said in an effort enhance the development of the village, the club adopted it and had already constructed a number of classrooms as well as distributed school uniforms to the pupils there. She said as part of Rotary's plans for the people of Asempaneye, it will construct a library, a bore hole and toilet facilities at the village.

She said as part of Rotary's plans for the people of Asempaneye, it will construct a library, a bore hole and toilet facilities at the village. "We have also undertaken a medical outreach at the village where we distributed drugs to the people. We also hope to construct a bus stop for our branch, Ring Road Central to serve as a waiting place for those who patronize public transport", she added. She said the club would also undertake water and sanitation projects at Supreso in the Eastern Region. She expressed her appreciation to the MTN Foundation, Standard Chartered Bank and partner clubs in Malaysia and Denmark for supporting the Club.
