Sunyani, May 12, GNA - Some officials of the Sunyani Municipal Assembly led by the Municipal Chief Executive,

Mr. Kwasi Oppong Ababio, and members of the Rotary Club, an international non-governmental organization

resident in Sunyani and Canada have inspected the start of a $21,000.00 fence wall for the Sunyani Municipal

Primary A and B School. The project is jointly financed by Daybreak, Landville and Downtown Rotary clubs based in Canada in

collaboration with the Sunyani Rotary. Mr. Twumasi Ankrah, the School Management Committee Chairman, commended Rotary Club for initiating the

project because it would provide maximum security for the students and staff of the school as well as preventing

people from encroaching on the school's land. Prof Ken Hammer, a Representative of Rotarians in Nanaimo, Canada, said lack of a fence wall posed a security

threat to the school, hence the need to undertake the project. Prof Kwasi Nsiah-Gyabaah, President of the Sunyani Chapter of Rotary, said the club's charitable deeds had

included the supply of books and other educational material to the school. He said the project is one of the major projects the club is undertaking in Sunyani and asked for the support of

individuals and corporate institutions. Mr. Kwasi Oppong Ababio, the Municipal Chief Executive, expressed appreciation to Rotary and appealed for

more support from the club.
