The State Housing Company will on Wednesday 18th July, 2012 open the National Housing Registry to enable all Ghanaians and any interested persons in buying or renting decent accommodation to do so.
A statement by the Management of SHC copied to the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday said interested persons should meet conditions including having a formal identification like a Birth certificate and a passport or travel documents, drivers license and a Voter’s ID.
In addition to the above, the statement said interested persons should have verifiable employment or business, and should have a social security number, tax identification number, must be registered with a credit bureau and must be 21 years or older.
It said applicants must also show readiness to buy or rent a home and must be prepared to pay a non refundable registration fees.
The statement said registration for a one-bedroom will attract non-refundable fees of 100 dollars or the Ghana cedi equivalent and a two-bedroom house will attract 130 dollars, a three bedroom, 150 dollars while a four-bedroom would attract 400 dollars or its Ghana cedi equivalent.**
