SIDSEC presents assorted medical supplies to Nadowli Hospital

Wa, Sept 08, GNA - Sustainable Integrated Development Services Centre (SIDSEC) a local NGO, on Wednesday presented assorted medical supplies to the Nadowli District Hospital and three clinics in the district.

Mr Boye Bandie, SIDSEC Executive Secretary, presented the items to Madam Perpetua Mornah, a Deputy Director of Nursing Services. The items included 24 cases of children's leg support, 10 dressing trays, seven cases of drapes, two cases of under cast pedigree, eight cases of bed pans and 400 bottles of Aspirin.

Others were 15 cases of sponges, two cases of gauze, and four intravenous pumps and four nest containers among others.

Mr Bandie said although SIDSEC's area of operation is in education, it has found it necessary to source assistance from its partners, Canadian Feed the Children, to promote health delivery in the deprived Nadowli District.

Madam Mornah assured SIDSEC and its partners that the items would not only be distributed to the beneficiaries but would report back on the distribution and utilisation of the supplies.

She expressed the appreciation of the Nadowli District Directorate of Health Services to SIDSEC for its HIV/AIDS programme in the District. Madam Mornah said Fakpo, Nanvilli and Nator clinics would get their share of the supplies as recommended by the donors.
