SSCE takes off smoothly in Cape Coast

Cape Coast, July 15, GNA - The Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), took off smoothly in all secondary schools in the Cape Coast Municipality, on Tuesday, with students taking Oral English as their first paper.

Final year students in some schools Ghana News Agency visited such as Mfantsipim, Saint Augustine's, Adisadel and Ghana National colleges, started their examinations as early as 9.00am. of examination halls.

At the Saint Augustine's College, the chief invigilator, Mr Philip Firang, said the students had behaved well and expressed the hope they would continue throughout the examination, which ends on Friday August 15.

Mr. Robert Koomson-Barnes, Headmaster of Ghana National College, who is supervising the examination in the school, said that, "all is well so far," adding, "all the 791 students are present".

At Mfantsipim and Adisadel, Mr. Jonathan Blankson and Mr. Jackiel Kitson, both supervisors, said all the 576 and 555 students registered in the two schools respectively, were taking part and said no unusual incidents had been recorded. candidates had turned up for the examination.
