Samad Gunu joins fight against coronavirus with PPEs in Savelugu

Member of Parliament for the Savelugu Constituency of the Northern Region, Hon Muhammad Abdul- Samad Gunu has donated Coronavirus logistics to various organisations in the Savelugu constituency.

Some of the recipients of the logistics are the Savelugu Municipality Health Directorate, the Savelugu Municipal Hospital, the Pong Tamale bus station, Gushei Market Centre, Diare Market Square as well as groups at Nabogu, Pigu, Kadia and Zosali.

Some of the items distributed include Veronica buckets, hand sanitizers, liquid soap, hand gloves and thermometers for the checking of body temperature of the people.

The health workers, chiefs, opinion leaders, driver’s association and market women thanked Samad Gunu for what they described as timely donation and promised to put the items to good use in their efforts to prevent the outbreak of the COVID-19 in their communities.

Hon Gunu, on his part, encouraged the people to continue to adhere to good hygienic practices as well as social distancing.

He also admonished them to abide by all directives from the president, Nana Akufo Addo and the various health professionals to defeat the pandemic.

Hon Samad further pledged to make donations to other recognisable groups in the constituency who were not covered in the first round of distribution.
