Nyinahin (Ash), Jan 20, GNA - Authorities and students of the Nyinahin Catholic Senior Secondary School have pleaded with President J.A. Kufuor to expedite action on provision of the school with a bus as he promised.

The expected bus is to replace the old one, which got burnt sometime ago.

Making the plea through the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday, Mr Anthony William Mensah, Headmaster of the school, said during his tour of the Ashanti Region last year, President Kufuor sympathised with the school and pledged to provide them with a new bus to replace the burnt one.

Mr Mensah said to show their concern and urgent need for the bus, it has become necessary for them to make a follow-up by way of a reminder to the President.

The Headmaster said the lack of a bus was having a tolling effect on school activities, especially in the area of transportation of foodstuff for feeding the students and sporting activities.

He also identified the lack of dining hall and library facilities as set backs to the growth of the school and appealed to the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) to map out more workable strategies to address the problems.
