Security urged to be devoted and hardworking

Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/A), Jan. 11, GNA - Mr. Emmanuel Duku, Dormaa District Chief Executive (DCE), has called personnel of the security services to work with devotion and in national interest.

He was speaking at a send-off party at the weekend in honour of Detective Chief Inspector Asare Bediako of the Ghana Police Service on transfer to the Police Headquarters in Accra, after 14 years at Domaa-Ahenkro.

Mr. Duku commended Chief Inspector Bediako for his devotion to duty and hard work and urged him to continue with same zeal and urged other Police personnel to emulate him.

Superintendent C.S.M. Brew, District Police Commander, said the District would miss an industrious selfless Police Officer, saying, "For the past one- and-half-years that I have worked with him, he proved to be hardworking, firm and fair in his decisions".

He pointed out that Chief Inspector Bediako's transfer to the Headquarters was a testimony of his hard and dedicated service. Chief Inspector Bediako expressed gratitude and appreciation to the people for the honour done him.

Mr. Addai Frimpong, Chairman of the District Branch of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union who presided also asked Chief Inspector Bediako to continue his good work at his new station.
