Mampong (Ash), Jan. 6, GNA - The Sekyere West District Assembly has decried the poor telecommunication system in the district and called on Ghana Telecom to replace the old analogue system with the digital system to ensure better telecommunication system in the area.

Mr Thomas Edward Atakorah, the District Chief Executive, told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that the telephone exchange at Mampong had for many years been operating on the old analogue system. This, he said, had made telecommunication difficult and impossible for the district to be hooked on to the Internet since the Internet operates on the digital system.
