Seven persons are reported dead in an accident at Donkorkrom in the Kwahu Affram Plains district of the Eastern Region.
The seven, all men, were on board a crane truck with registration 4067 AW when the accident occurred.
They were said to be part of holiday makers travelling from Donkorkrom to Agodeke for a beach party.
The official cause of the accident is yet to be established but residents who rushed to the scene to rescue victims believe the driver lost control of his steering wheel and plunged the vehicle into a nearby bush.
A resident, Kasim Kabore says police in the area have been able to arrest the driver of the vehicle to assist in investigations.
Meanwhile, bodies of the dead have been deposited at the Presbyterian hospital Morgue in Donkorkrom.
