Show love to the less privileged and vulnerable – First Lady

The First Lady, Mrs Lordina Mahama says it is time to show love to the less privileged and vulnerable in our society by regularly supporting them with their needs.

This was said on her behalf by staff of the Lordina Foundation when they paid working visit to five orphanages in Northern and Brong Ahafo regions to assess the welfare of the children.

Mrs Mahama regularly visits the homes to see to their welfare and provides them with their needs.

One of the main objectives of the Lordina Foundation is to help underprivileged in less developed areas of the country, especially the needy.

The manager of the Tamale home, Madam Augustine, the staff and the children were grateful to Mrs Mahama for her kind gesture and appealed to her to assist them acquire a van for the home.

A children’s block being constructed for toddlers at the home is being facilitated by the Lordina Foundation and supported by the GETFUND.

The facility, when completed, would provide housing and classroom for the children.

The manager of Frank May Orphanage in Techiman, Mr Francis Apus, also made a request for a van to help in transporting the kids to and from events.

For his part, the Manager of Bethesda, Rev. Gilbert Ayaric, appealed to the First Lady, for scholarship for one of the orphans to attend nursing school. ?

The Managers of the homes showed their appreciation to Mrs Mahama and thanked her for her commitment and continuous support for the homes.

The visit is part of the commitment of Mrs Mahama to ensuring that the children feel loved and cared for.
