Six schools from Central Region qualify for 2019 NCSQuiz

Six schools from the Central Region displayed their academical prowess to qualify for the National Core Subject Quiz which comes off on April, 2019 in Acca.

The Central regional competition for the 2019 edition of the NCSQuiz was held on Wednesday 16th January, 2019 and saw six Junior High Schools from the region qualifying to the National Championship after beating their counterparts in the preliminaries.

In no particular order, the six qualified schools include;University Junior High School - Cape Coast, Greenfield Junior High School - Swedru, Bediako Memorial Institute - Kasoa, Hariom International School - Saltpond, Little Shepherd International School - Komenda and Oxford Preparatory School - Kissi

The 3rd edition of the NCSQuiz will see schools from various regions engaging in healthy academic competitions for excellence and supremacy as they fly high the flags of their schools and exalt their respective regions in April 2019.

Three Junior High Schools have already qualified to represent the Eastern Region for the 2019 NCSQuiz for the first time. 

The NCSQuiz for JHS is an academic platform for JHS students where their intellectual ability, as well as their swiftness in recollection of information imbibed over time, is tested upon in relation to the four core subjects namely; English Language, Social Studies, Integrated Science and Mathematics, which are very important determinants for postings to Senior High Schools. 

Dayspring Montessori International School; the reigning champions, won the 2018 NSCQuiz edition by beating Val's Preparatory School in the Grande finale.

Registration of schools is still on for the regional competitions of other regions.
