Nkoranza (B/A), May 28, GNA - Members of the Nkoranza District branch of the Society of Physically Challenged have called on the chiefs and people of Nkoranza North and South to support their district Chief executives to ensure the speedy development of the communities. The members congratulated Mr Kwadwo Adjei Dwomoh and Mr Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, District Chief Executives (DCEs) for Nkoranza North and South respectively, for their nomination and confirmation. Mr Effah Guakro, branch president of the society told the Ghana News Agency at Nkoranza that "the society is proud of the way the assembly members voted massively to confirm the nominees," saying the trend would facilitate the pace of development in the districts. Mr Guakro called on municipal and district chief executives to open their doors to the people and to avoid acts that would create factions amongst them.

He appealed to Ghanaians not to play partisan politics with the work of chief executives but rather to give them the freedom and peace to perform to expectation.

Mr Guakro thanked the government for inaugurating the National Disability Council and appealed to district assemblies to support the education of disabled students in Senior High Schools. He advised parents to offer equal attention and support to all their children, both the able and disabled. 28 May 09
