Soldier writes book on basic computer training

Kamina (NR), March 14, GNA- The Reverend Dr Bugri Nabor of the Methodist/Presbyterian Church in the Kamina Barracks in Tamale, at the weekend launched a computer guidebook authored by Warrant Officer 1 (WOI) Samuel Baafi in Tamale.

The 86-page book, "My Computer", aims at encouraging children in the North to take interest in computer studies.

Rev. Nabor advised parents to encourage their children to study hard to become Information and Technology literate.

Warrant Officer (WO1) Baafi said the book was aimed at exposing people especially children to the basics in computer training. Programmes in the book included: Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point as well as MS Publisher and Coral Draw.

Group Captain Jacob Nartey of the Tamale Air Force Station launched the book and sold the first copy for one million cedis.
