Soldiers should adhere to time tested virtues

Soldiers have been reminded of the need to adhere to good time management, discipline and humility, which are time tested virtues, to excel in their career.

This call was made by Commodore Bethel Fosuhene Asante, Director General Logistics, General Headquarters, Burma Camp, and Guest of honour at the Eastern Naval Command first quarter and BT 76 passing out religious parade at Tema over the weekend.

Two hundred and thirty-nine (239) recruits, the largest number ever admitted in the history of the Eastern Naval Command, are due to pass out on Friday, May 2.

Commodore Asante said the hallmark of every good and successful military man was good time management, humility and discipline.

He acknowledged the work done by the Eastern Naval command on the 239 recruits, who were admitted in October last year, through a six months rigorous training exercise.

Reverend Commodore P. Adjei-Djan (Chaplain) told the recruits that they were called for a special duty and that they have been strengthened through training to enable them to withstand all the circumstances in their world of work.

The best and deserving recruits were presented with various awards, with the Best in Physical Training (Male) going to Mensah David, Best in Physical Training (Female), Mwintiere Gladys, Best in Boxing Male, Adjartey Alfred E, Best in Boxing (Female), Aduko Vida and Best in Weapon Training, Oppong Raphael.
