Member of Parliament (MP) for Navrongo Central, Joseph Kofi Adda has urged the people of his constituency to spread love to each other, especially the poor and vulnerable in their communities, this Easter period.

Mr. Adda also urged his constituents to pray for an end to the deadly coronavirus pandemic, noting the impact the disease is having on the people’s social lives and global economy.

In an Easter message posted on his Facebook page and a copy given to GhanaWeb’s Senyalah Castro, the MP said the resurrection of Christ has always been the best occasion to show love to the poor and less privileged in the society.

He mentioned that he would visit the homes of the poor in his constituency to spend and mark the resurrection of Christ with them.

Mr. Adda announced that he has, in accordance with the social distancing protocol and other guidelines put in place by the government and health authorities to stem the spread of the virus, put on hold all the charitable activities he mostly organized for children during Easter.

“Though, I will not be able to dine with the children this year as I have always done, I will reach out to several homes to spend the resurrection of our Lord with them”.

The statement further urged the people to pray for strength for the leadership of the country to give them the fortitude to overcome the pandemic.

The statement called for unity among the people, explaining its importance in this hard time of the coronavirus disease.

“Let’s also pray that our leaders rise to the challenge of managing the unseen enemy and still promote unity”.
